FOX Transfer Neo Factory Seatpost
Overall Review
T he wireless dropper post market has been heating up lately, with several new entrants throwing their hats in the ring. Fox is the latest to join the party, and they’ve definitely come out swinging. By thinking outside the box, they’ve developed a dropper post that offers the fastest actuation in the industry at present, coupled with lower stack height thanks to the unusual placement of the wireless controller unit on the seat post. They’re also making the post in the three main diameters with

2020 YT Capra Base 29 Bike
The Good
Great geometry! This bike has worked perfectly for me. The bike rips at the ski area bike parks. It has doubled my speed in relation to my friends I ride with. Totally satisfied!
The Bad
A bit heavy at 34 lbs, but my use is mostly lift assisted downhill. It does xc rather well but one just needs to be fit for uphill.
Overall Review
I have upgraded the seatpost lever, and gone up to Sram Eagle shifters and derailleur, and upgraded to Yari shock with new air spring and charger 2.1. The bike is bullet proof!!
Burgtec Penthouse MK5 Flat Pedal
Not enough grip
The Good
They look nice.
The Bad
Tried to replace worn out Horizon flats and unfortunately even 5-year old Horizons with bent and missing pins are much grippier. Those lack at last 1mm in pin height. On most trails they are ok though, just require a little more attention on very rough sections. Would be great if those had slightly larger distance from the crank.
Overall Review
They look nice and are thin but gripwise they could be a bit better. Would love Burgtec to provide longer aftermarket pins.

Starling Murmur V3 (2022) Frame

Overall Review
W hen I was looking for my next long-term test bike, I wanted something a bit different. I’ve always been a huge fan of steel frames, drawn in by the promise of a smooth ride and something a bit more exotic than your run-of-the-mill carbon frame from Asia – as awesome as those are today, they are for the most part not all that unique. I told the rad folks at Starling Cycles about my plans, and they kindly cooked up a Murmur frame for me to ride this year. I’ve been putting in the miles aboard

My Go to Bar
The Good
Been on these for multiple bikes over multiple years, really like the bend. Seems to be comfortable with enough give in material to not be harsh.
The Bad
Anodizing can be corroded after a few years of sweat.
Overall Review
Seems like a great bar especially for the price.

Overall Review
been riding them since '19, same pair (780mm 1" rise), without fuss & have just done their job well. Have multiple bikes and these are on my enduro (ridden everywhere) with no crazy better performance than compared to my other bars (santa cruz & deity carbon). I do think they are the most smooth riding bars but that can be fork setup too. You can't go wrong with these bars!

2024 Norco Range VLT C1 E-Bike
Overall Review
2 024 has brought big changes to Norco. After a few stale years post-COVID slowdown, they've revamped much of their line-up for this year. While some brands are cutting spending and trying to keep their heads above water, Norco has taken a bold approach and developed a whole bunch of new models. Included in this revitalization phase is a ground-up revision of the Range VLT. Norco has been investing heavily in high-pivot suspension designs, and the big-hitting e-bike is evidence of that. I n the world of costly bike parts, Trickstuff has always had a special aura around it. Unapologetically dedicated to building the finest brakes money can buy, this German company makes a premium product and charges a pretty penny for it. 2021 Canyon Sender 5 Bike
The Good
The bike is very nimble and plush if you upgrade few parts. And the bike is farely light, lighter then the sister carbon fiber models. The bike is perfect for gnarly rock gardens and flowy jump trails. I had Sender CFs but I hated the progressive feel of the MX links and the air shock. Aluminum version dumped mx links and added coil shocks resulting more linear and plush with better support in the mid travel.
The Bad
The Select dampers on the front and rear are terrible. Unable to tune the compression speed, the bike height stays very low on the descents. This throws you over the bar all the time. Adding air pressure and tokens only gives you harsher ride. The only way to fix this problem is by exchanging the damper to Charger2.1. High and low compressions setup to the right speed, the bike is very nimble and plush. And also the Sram Guide RE brakes are not the best brakes. Fingers and arm muscles suffer after every ride. Upgrading to Shimano XT brakes or better will help.
Overall Review
With few upgrades(dampers, brakes, tubeless) the bike feels very nimble and plush. The bike feels light and controllable on both technical descents and flowy jump trails. The sizing is somewhat out dated. Consider getting one size larger. (Reach M:440, L:460mm)

In March, Rocky Mountain pulled back the veil on their latest Instinct trail bike. After a few years of sharing frames with its more capable big brother, the Altitude, the Instinct regained its independence with a dedicated and revised chassis. Complete with internal storage, a grip of geometry adjustments, and a proven suspension layout, Rocky aimed to give riders the do-it-all trail bike that could adapt to any terrain or rider preference.
