Comprising two models – the ELyte EVO RS, and the ELyte EVO Stag Works – both offer full-power, full-torque eMTBs in a lightweight package that aims to deliver the very best handling and ride experience possible, so riders can make the most of their precious time, every ride.
We put the mass where it matters
We were the first in the world to pioneer a low center of gravity approach on our first-ever eMTB, the E-150, that launched in 2019. Delivering a radically low center of gravity was the solution to unlock the best handling possible. Now for ELyte EVO, we’ve set a whole new benchmark.
Our ELyte EVO RS has a 21% lower center of gravity (505.07mm) than our ‘Bike Of The Year’ award-winning E-160 RSX (522.65mm), while the MX-wheeled ELyte EVO Stag Works bike is 34% lower (492.28mm).
This is the lowest of any eMTB we’ve ever made or measured; we believe this is the lowest center of gravity of any eMTB.
For ELyte EVO we’ve also engineered the bike to ride brilliantly whether you run the PowerMore range extender or not; adding or removing the PowerMore has an almost negligible impact on the bike’s center of gravity, so it handles the same.
Why is a low center of gravity a good thing?
Developing eMTBs with a low center of gravity minimizes the effect the additional major masses have (principally, the motor and battery) on how the bike rides and handles for the rider. A bike with a low center of gravity will inspire more confidence, be more agile and easier to turn, and also be more stable and predictable when things get crazy. Ultimately, it’ll help you have a better, more enjoyable and more inspiring ride.

29er or MX wheels
Choose from 29er wheels front and rear (ELyte EVO RS) or MX – aka ‘mullet’ or ‘mixed’ 29in front, 27.5in rear – wheels (ELyte Stag Works).
Geometry adjustment
Change the geo from its ‘High’ to ‘Low’ setting – to slacken it by 0.6º and lower the bottom bracket by 8mm – for more gravity-friendly handling.
Short 155mm cranks
Coupling shorter cranks with the lowest center of gravity delivers exceptional handling with the ability to pedal through the rough.
Takes two bottles
The frame takes both a full 750ml bottle (using the bottle cage adaptor, included), and an upper 400ml Fidlock bottle (on sizes M-XL).
Uncompromised parts

Zero distractions

The ELyte EVO range
The ELyte EVO platform was conceived three years ago when we began development of our ELyte range.
By designing the chassis around Bosch’s latest two-bolt motor attachments, we future-proofed the frame to be able to take both Bosch’s new full-power, full-torque CX motor, and the lightweight, mid-torque SX motor (as used on our ELyte range, launched last year).

Your bike, your way
We believe you should be able set-up your bike, however you want. Geometry. Wheelsize. Cable and hose routing. The lot. This is why every ELyte EVO comes ready to route hoses in different ways, the ability to adjust the geometry, as well as being ready for you to change the rear wheelsize: from 29er to MX, or from MX to 29er. All so you can ride your bike, your way.
How high/low will you go?
Our Shape.It link shock extender with its brass ‘flip-chip’ insert lets you change the geometry – but importantly not the shock performance – of your bike so you can have consistent suspension performance, regardless of the position you’re running. Switch it from its ‘high’ to its ‘low’ position to slacken the bike out by 0.6º and lower the bottom bracket by 8mm.
Roll on the wheels you want
Want to change from 29er front and rear to an MX set-up? Or vice-versa? With ELyte EVO you can set up your wheelsize, however you want.
Go MX
Just replace the bike’s stock Shape.It link with our Shape.It Link V2 (62-66mm), together with a suitable ASTM/EN17406 rated rear wheel (category 4, enduro) laced with an e-bike rated rear hub.
Go 29er
Want to change from an MX set-up to a 29er one? Just do the reverse and replace the Shape.It Link V2 with the Shape.It link and a suitable ASTM/EN17406 rated rear wheel (category 4, enduro) laced with an e-bike rated rear hub.
Designed to perform, engineered to last
We’ve designed, tested, and proven every ELyte EVO in our native UK, riding all year round through the best and the worst of conditions. Riding through the foulest, bearing-killing winters and their bike clogging mud means we’ve added a whole host of weather-proofing touches that may not grab headlines, but will keep you riding sweeter and for longer, come what may.
Fully weather-sealed
Fully weather-sealed with a seat-clamp gaiter, and sealed cable and hose ports to keep the water out.
Forward-facing charge port
The charge port is positioned at the base and to the front of the seat tube, out of the firing line of the rear wheel spray.
Yoke gaiter
A gaiter on the chainstay yoke prevents against sand, grit and debris getting behind the suspension yoke.
2.5in tire clearance
Generous mud clearance for up to 2.5in tires between the seat and chainstays to prevent mud and gunk slowing you down.
Armored frame
Frame protection on the lower downtube and chainstay help keep the frame in great shape.
Skid plate
A robust motor ‘sump’ skid-plate protects the Bosch Performance Line CX motor from strikes.
Pivot bearing protection
Phosphate-coated, marine grease packed bearings maximize service life through even the worst conditions and come with a lifetime warranty*.

New lifetime frame warranty
Alongside the launch of ELyte EVO, Whyte also announces that it is now backing all its 2025 collection bikes purchased on or after 1st November 2024 – including the award-winning ELyte eMTB and T-160 RS trail mountain bikes – with a lifetime frame warranty for the original owner, in addition to the lifetime pivot bearing warranty the brand has always offered.
The original owner can activate their Whyte warranties simply by registering their bike within 28 days of purchase at whytebikes.com, together with its proof of purchase.
The launch of the 2025 collection has begun with ELyte EVO with more new bikes and models across both its mountain bike and electric mountain bike ranges to be announced in the coming months.
